Holiday Greetings from half way around the world!

Sorry for the delay in update...wanted to blog earlier but it's been busy with sightseeing and shopping :) The traffic is crazy and cars and scooters will run over you if you don't stay outta their way....how come noone really stays inside the lines? ...i've seen cars go down the wrong way on a one way street...scooters so close to the car where I could literally push them over.

Food is fantastic here in Taiwan. Love the street markets...we have yummy pastries all the time (i probably have a couple of lbs to show for it)...and tons of good local food all over...including well known chains such as mickey d's, kfc, and pizza hut. McD's sells a good spicy chicken sandwich where the inside really looks like chicken, and pizza hut has some really interesting spreads (ie. kimchee pizza, seafood pizza, american bacon and tuna pizza, japanese takoyaki pizza, etc).

Been to a bunch of historical places which I've never been too, spent money like a mad woman on pens and embellishments for scrapbooking/cardmaking, bought tons of souveniers (sp?), and ate some crazy things (all of which were yummy...like scallop lips...i didn't know that scallops have lips but apparently they serve them at the morning buffet).

We had a ton of food this morning from the day market...all bought for a measley $10 USD and me and dave couldn't even finish half. The onion pancakes here are amazing. Today, we're wrapping it up by going out to the underground mall and to Shilin Night Market in hopes of finding some unlaid eggs and stinky fried tofu to round out our experience here.

Tomorrow, it's off to Tainan where I will visit my grandparents grave and see some relatives.

Gotta jet..parents downstairs in the lobby! Cya!
