Berry Yummy!
Last night tried out christina's recipe and baked an olallieberry crisp :) Ya, it don't look too good when plating, it but it tasted soooo good! Luckily, me and Dave picked exactly 4 cups of berries this past weekend (Phipps Country), so I used them all in one shot....no berry left behind...all went into the baking dish :) I served it with some haagen dazs (sp??) vanilla ice cream...mmmmm
Dave had 2 servings and I had one...so we have more than enough for dessert tonight! Which, by the way, we will eat when we sit down and watch bleach together...I tried eating it while WoW-ing but by the time I got to a good point to take a bite the ice cream was already melting :(
I'm thinking it would taste really good if i did it with strawberries and some blue berries too...but i wonder if the colors would mesh together to create a nasty looking color? i'm sure it would taste good but i don't think it would look very good...maybe i should just stick to keeping it all to one berry.
might be a potential candidate for gee & kimber's 4th of july party since I still need to decide what to bring.
i totally want to go berry picking again over there....and the beach is right down the street :) the drive was beautiful...we were pretty much hugging the coast and had wonderful views of the ocean.
