Got the estimate for the repair of my car:
water pump & pulley, cooling system flush, & new drive belts: $1067
2 new front tires: $379
replace rear bushings & alignment: $960
Grand total is about $2400 + tax (not including the rental car)
....ouch.
They estimated that the work will be done either late Monday (waiting for parts to come in) or early Tuesday morning.
....so glad i have a job!
wait...so does that mean i'm just waiting for my radiator to blow, now?

holy crap...not what i suspected.
rear bushings and alignment are probably not required, but it probably is on the checklist based on mileage...same goes for the drive belts.
eh...2400...piece of cake for you guys :) but i guess that postpones the prospect of a new mini for at least a few months :(

yah 2400 isn't going to kill us...and i don't think it will deter me getting the new mini haha!
i might look at some other cars as well just to make sure i want the mini and nothing else...lol
